Life appears normal for two siblings (Olivia De Jonge, Ed Oxenbould) until their mother (Kathryn Hahn) leaves them at their grandparents' (Deanna Dunagan, Peter McRobbie) house while she's on vacation: the siblings discover that their grandparents' behavior has become deeply disturbing. Despite being warned not to come out of their room past 9:30 P.M., their curiosity coaxes them out and they realize that something terribly wrong is taking place. They fail to convince their mother to come to their rescue and are left on their own to face the untold horrors that surround their now seemingly-evil elders.
