Season 2 of this drama series opens with Jace (Dominic Sherwood) being held captive on Valentine's (Alan van Sprang) ship. Clary (Katherine McNamara) and her mother, Jocelyn (Maxim Roy), are reunited and they share shocking revelations. Meanwhile, Victor Aldertree (Nick Sagar) becomes the head of the New York Institute and wrongly declares Jace a criminal. Now, unlikely alliances are formed and relationships are put to the test as the Shadowhunters navigate through a world in upheaval.
