1982年2月10日出生於廣島縣，聲音低沉渾厚，主要擔任少年與青年的配音，有著自然的演技和表現力，在日本聲優大獎中獲獎無數。除了動畫與遊戲作品的演出，同時也在電影、電視劇、紀錄片作品的配音中活耀。近期代表作有《黑子的籃球》、《Free!-Eternal Summer-》及《月歌。THE ANIMATION》。
