2011年8月、20歳のときにアイドルグループ「乃木坂46」の1期生として活動を開始。グループ在籍中からTVドラマ「初森ベマーズ」や「福岡恋愛白書10」（ともに15）などに出演する。16年1月に同グループからの卒業を発表し、14thシングル「ハルジオンが咲く頃」では最初で最後のセンターを務め、6月に卒業。ほどなく女優に転向し、TVドラマ「プリンセスメゾン」（16）や舞台「スキップ」（17）の座長を経て、恋愛映画「パンとバスと二度目のハツコイ」（17）の主演でスクリーンデビューを果たした。
