盛岡中央高等学校出身。2010年に開催された第23回ジュノン・スーパーボーイ・コンテストにて「理想の恋人賞」を受賞し、芸能界入りする。2011年5月、同コンテスト同期のファイナリスト12人で結成された「劇男JB」旗揚げ公演に出演し、同年7月のテレビドラマ『花ざかりの君たちへ〜イケメン☆パラダイス〜2011』で俳優デビュー。2012年9月から『仮面ライダーウィザード』に奈良瞬平役で出演。2013年公開の映画『風切羽〜かざきりば〜』にて、秋月三佳とともに主演を務める。
