1997年、TVドラマ『七曲署捜査一係』(NTV)にて新人刑事役でデビュー。2003年NHK大河ドラマ『武蔵』にて注目を集め、映画・TVドラマ・舞台と幅広く活躍。近年の出演作として、映画『キスカム！～COME ON,KISS ME AGAIN!～』(20)、『無頼』(20)、『劇場版 シグナル 長期未解決事件捜査班』(21)、TVドラマ『日本沈没 希望のひと』(TBS)、などがある。
